Medical Training Therapy
You have done it all already and you know it. You are proud of what you accomplished. You have been working with your exercise physiologist or physiotherapist, you have done your exercise classes and have pretty much reached your training goals. But you are not willing to stop now after you put in all this effort and find that you don’t really want to go to a professional gym. Maybe those classes somewhere else are just a little too big, too impersonal or really not aimed at what you want to do. Or maybe that gym environment is just not your style.
This is where our Medical Training Therapy comes in.
At Stratford health Hub, we host open gym sessions for people exactly like you. We have a process in place to transition you safely and responsibly to these open gym sessions.
If you have already been doing our classes, Joel or Joyce will make your program that you will take into your open gym sessions.
If you are new to Stratford Health hub, Joel or Joel, depending on what it is you wish to work on, will start with an assessment to understand where you are coming from and what your goals are, and will check your muscle strength and functional capacity. They will then make a program for you that we will do with you for a few sessions so you understand our equipment and we are sure you do the exercise correctly. After that, you can go into our open gym sessions.
In both cases, Joel and/or Joyce will review your program after a set time to make sure that you are still doing well and still challenge yourself. This is what we call Medical Training. You are exercising on your own, but there is still that overall medical guidance from an exercise physiologist or physiotherapist as time progresses.
